LAN Party – Turkey Giblets 19th Annual Edition
LAN partiers
Atch is hosting the “Turkey Giblets, 19th Annual Edition, LAN party!”
The plan:
We’ll start Thursday evening after 6:00 pm, (November 27th) and go into Sunday. Bring your own computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headphones, comfortable clothes/PJ’s, slippers, and any other “accessories” you need.
Due to some other family obligations some will be joining us remotely this year.
The Games:
A few games of Tower D and Red Circle, as is tradition. I would expect some of us will play Civilization 7 as well.
For those wishing for less screen time, I hope you will bring your favorite table top games.
The food:
BYO Snacks and refreshments.
- Thursday: Assuming people will have their own Thanksgiving food plans so I won’t plan anything in particular for Thursday night.
- Friday: Last year we did a cooking contest. But I don’t think that will work this year as others will be absent for some or all of the LAN party. So unless someone volunteers to cook, I think we may just play it by ear, perhaps fast food for lunch and order some local pizza for dinner?
- Saturday: Survey says, breakfast on Saturday, not Friday, a smorgasbord morning/brunch, including scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy and hash browns.
The Big Game! Kick-off is at noon! Again, I expect a bloodbath this year. But if last year taught us anything, miracles do happen. Who knows! Hopefully it is an exciting game.
For dinner, I will be making tacos! Quick and easy and always tasty! - Sunday: Wind down day. No meals planed. Leftovers most likely available because we always have too much food.
The drink:
BYOB! In case you forget there is a Kroger about 5 minutes away. There is also a small refrigerator in the basement.
The place:
Atch’s Place!
The when:
Thursday November 27th. Setup starts after 4:00pm. Early bird set up is available for this LAN Party. Please send Atch a message to arrange your early bird setup plans. I’m looking at those visiting from the North Star State.
Accommodations
I’ll have a couple inflatable mattresses and one standard bed. First come, first serve, as is tradition. Since some are traveling from out of town please let me know if you’d like to come in earlier or stay later.
