LAN Party – Turkey Giblets 17th Annual Edition

LAN partiers

Atch is hosting the “Turkey Giblets, 17th Annual Edition, LAN party!”

The plan:
We’ll start Thursday evening after 6:00 pm, (November 23rd) and go into Sunday. Bring your own computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headphones, comfortable clothes/PJ’s, slippers, and any other “accessories” you need.

The Games:
I would like us to mix up the game list again this year. A couple new games this year include MageQuit and Party Animals, both available on Steam. I’m hoping others will suggest some games we can all play together. And it won’t be a LAN if we don’t play a few games of Tower D and Red Circle. And for those wishing for less screen time, I hope you will bring your favorite table top games.

The food:
BYO Snacks and refreshments.

  • Thursday: Assuming people will have their own Thanksgiving food plans so I won’t plan anything in particular for Thursday night.
  • Friday: I’m up for suggestions if people are getting tired of omelets. I’m leaning towards a breakfast smorgasbord for Friday morning/brunch, including scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy and hash browns. No plans for dinner, so we will probably order pizza and subs from a local pizzeria.
  • Saturday: The Big Game! Kick-off is at noon! I’m making tacos! Quick and easy and always tasty!
  • Sunday: Wind down day. No meals planed.

The drink:
BYOB! In case you forget there is a Kroger about 5 minutes away. There is also a small refrigerator in the basement.

The place:
Atch’s Place!

The when:
Thursday November 23rd. Setup starts after 6:00pm. Early bird set up is available for this LAN Party. Please send Atch a message to arrange your early bird setup plans.

Accommodations
I’ll have a couple inflatable mattresses and one standard bed. First come, first serve, as is tradition. Since some of us are travel from out of town please let me know if you’d like to come in earlier or stay later.

Would you like to take a survey?
I’d like to know your thoughts on this LAN party and how I can help improve your experience for the next one. Please complete your survey and drop it in the box before you leave this year. I can’t promise I will do everything you ask, but I’ll be sure to try to improve on these things in the future! Thanks!
